“There’s plenty of lovely walks to go on surrounding the house and they have a helpful guide left in each room with places they recommend nearby to visit. If however, you’re after a truly relaxing holiday, my advice to you would to be to simply enjoy the house. ”
“The joy of a holiday there – is being there. I could have quite easily never left the pool side for the entire five days. The grounds are stunning, the house is stunning. It’s truly a special place, that is there to be enjoyed -and I really feel all of us did that.”
“We did venture out a few times, but honestly, our favourite place to be was in the Manoir, sipping a cold drink and watching the children have the time of their lives!”
“I think every family deserves a little Manoir La Croix de La Jugie magic.”
“Six idyllic acres of open fields and flowered shrubberies, a small orchard and a fenced pool, ping pong for the lively, massages for the limb-weary, a covered terrace for leisurely lunches and barbecues… what more could you want?”
“We have just completed a one week stay with family and friends from Australia, Singapore and USA. The house is huge with two separate wings which suited our party very well. The decor is beautiful and the setting is superb. The house has everything that you could possibly want. Large dining areas, excellent BBQ area ( being Australian we all love a barbie!), a heated pool, croquet, bikes and billiards. We all wished that we could stay longer and would love to return one day. We loved the beautiful rural countryside and marvelled at the lush green paddocks so different from the dull olive green of the Aussie bush.”
“The bedrooms in [Clio’s] 18th century French home, the vine-covered Manoir la Croix de la Jugie, are spacious, with en suite bathrooms and a tasteful mixture of French and British furniture in soft colours. The house’s common rooms are set up to host groups in style.”
“We thought the house was beautiful- you have obviously put a lot of work into it, to wonderful effect. If I were you I don’t think I could bear to share it! So many thanks for everything.”
“We had such a lovely time at La Jugie – it is just beautiful and has so much space that everyone was able to properly relax and have some ‘quiet time’ as well as enjoying each other’s company. We had some wonderful evenings in the outdoor eating area and a very competitive ping pong tournament so all great fun. Thank you so much for all of your help – you really saved the day on the car hire front in particular.”
“We are leaving today and would like to thank you. We enjoyed very much staying at La Jugie. We hope to come back and will tell our friends about your beautiful place. Thanks again!”
“Thank you for a wonderful week. We loved staying in your beautiful home.”
“Thank you for the stay at your gorgeous manoir, we had such a lovely time!”
“Just a quick note to say we’ve had a great week and loved our time here. The house is lovely and we’ve had some great afternoons in the summer sunshine by the pool.”
“Been meaning to write to let you know we had a wonderful holiday in your beautiful French home. Thank you to you and Pam & Julian for all your help during the booking and the stay to make sure we were really well looked after. I will thoroughly recommend the house and set up to all my friends with large families!Severine’s food was delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed a night off cooking! We went to visit the chateau at Coussac Bonneval which was great. Hope you enjoy the rest of the summer and we hope to visit Le Manoir again!”
“13 Busy London ladies headed to the Manor house. We stayed last summer and had the most magical time. Lazy days by the pool, walks and bike rides and candlelit al fresco suppers. Total relaxation. The house is stunning, spacious and simply perfect for a large group of friends or family. Beautiful house, gorgeous area. Loved it all, we would highly recommend staying here.”
“We absolutely loved the Manoir. It’s so beautifully done. My husband and I made it to the flea market at Meuzac have come home inspired. From a practical point of view the house was big enough for such a large group to happily coexist without us all being on top of each other. The covered table outside is amazing for dining even when the weather isn’t so fine, and the pool fence meant we didn’t have to watch the children quite so closely. We also really appreciated that the cupboards were well stocked.Pamela and Julien were especially friendly and helpful, and they did much more then they needed to in making sure we enjoyed our stay.”
“We loved La Jugie. What a beautiful house...really stunning and special. We have all left with such happy memories! It was also in such a lovely part of France - one I haven’t been to before, so we all enjoyed visiting the local castles and villages.”
“We all wanted to thank you for a lovely stay in your house last week. We all had a great time and enjoyed the gardens, pool, house and surroundings very much. The kids built a den in the woods behind the stables that you may see and admire on your next visit! We loved having Mathilde and Julie cook for us and went for three nights with them in the end. They are both lovely and we would recommend them highly. Thanks again for setting this up.”
“The flight is less than an hour, the drive from the airport just over half an hour and then you find yourself in the idyllic countryside of the Limousin. We spent our days enjoying the house and gardens and taking the short walk in to the village for a picnic by the river before returning for an al fresco dinner fresh from the barbeque watching the sun set.On a more adventurous day we explored the beautiful surrounding countryside, with Jumilhac, Brantome and St Jean de Cole and their chateaux. We will definitely be going back!”
